The Delmar Fire Department is made up of more than 80 dedicated men and women who provide round the clock fire protection for the Delmar Fire District and ambulance service for the communities of Delmar, Elsmere, and Slingerlands. The Department will have responded to more than 2,000 calls for fires, medical emergencies, traffic accidents, rescue situations, hazardous conditions, downed electrical wires, floods and other emergencies during 2007.
