ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Delmar Fire District, in the Town of Bethlehem, Albany County, New York, sealed bids for a chief’s command vehicle 2015 Ford F-250 LARIAT Crew Cab 4×4 will be received by the Board of Fire Commissioners until 4:00 p.m. on January 14, 2015. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:00 p.m. on January 14, 2015. Bidders are not required to be present.
Bids may be submitted by mail to Delmar Fire District, Attn.: CHIEF COMMAND VEHICLE BID, Candice Haack, 145 Adams St., Delmar, NY 12054; or by hand delivery at Delmar Fire Station, Candice Haack, 145 Adams Street, Delmar, New York 12054. Bids will be submitted in sealed envelopes at the above address and shall bear on the face thereof “CHIEF COMMAND VEHICLE BID” the name and address of the bidder.
The items to be bid shall comply with the specifications adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners on December 11, 2014. Detailed specifications are available to any interested bidder and requested via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The proposal packet shall include all warranties that are required in the detailed specifications mentioned above. The bidder shall include a copy of their warranties within the proposal package. If bidder does not include a copy of the warranties, bid will automatically be rejected. Also to be included in the proposal packet shall be the expected date of delivery for the described vehicle.
The contract for purchase in cases where two or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Board of Fire Commissioners may award the contract to either of such bidders. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserve the right, however, to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed by them to be in the best interests of the Delmar Fire District, or to re-open the bidding. The bid shall contain such statements, resolutions, affidavits, certificates and other assurances as are or may be required under the laws of the State of New York affecting fire district purchases, including the non-collusion certificate required by General Municipal Law.
